Unfortunately, Jung Chang has had to cancel all her upcoming events and overseas tours due to illness. This event, scheduled for 26th March, will be postponed until further notice. People who have already made a donation have been contacted and we apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience caused. Please keep an eye out for further updates.
We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting Jung Chang at The ClementJames Centre on Thursday 26th March for a talk on her latest book Big Sister, Little Sister, Red Sister. A bestselling author, Chang is best known for Wild Swans, a family autobiography which has sold over 13 million copies worldwide but is banned in China.
Big Sister, Little Sister, Red Sister follows the story of the most famous sisters in twentieth-century China. As the country battled through wars, revolutions and seismic transformations, the three Soong sisters from Shanghai were at the centre of power, each of them leaving an indelible mark on history.
As part of the evening, Jung Chang will be interviewed by historian and journalist, Victoria Schofield. Please join us for a captivating evening of talk and discussion.
When? 6:30 pm, Thursday 26th March 2020
