Early Intervention

Our Early Intervention programme works with families, children and young people to address a growing need in the local community, engaging with those at risk of or currently experiencing issues during their educational journey.

This support ranges from helping young people to discover their future options to providing one-to-one support to families experiencing school exclusion.

Advocacy

Is your child or a child you know experiencing a high number of behaviour points, suspension or exclusion?

If the young person is in Years 1 to 11 and living in or attending a school in Kensington & Chelsea or Westminster, we can help them and their families to understand letters, access specialist support, attend appeals and other school meetings and provide advice and guidance around school exclusions.

Our Advocacy service, in collaboration with national children’s charity Coram, provides expert advice and guidance alongside pastoral care to enable families to make informed choices during the school exclusions process. Please note that we are unable to provide support at the IRP (Independent Review Panel) stage.

Early Intervention Workshops

We also run workshops with local schools and young people, centred on providing young people with the necessary support and tools to learn new skills, increase confidence in their abilities and make informed choices. These workshops include:

  • Young Women’s Confidence Programme
  • Various programmes during half-term and summer holiday periods

To register your interest for the next iterations of any of the above workshops, please email welcome@clementjames.org or give us a call on 020 7221 8810.
