One of the UK’s leading historians, Tom Holland will enlighten you in his talk ‘Athelstan, The Making of England’, the subject of his latest book published in 2016.
Tom Holland is not only a well-known author, but also TV presenter of Radio 4’s ‘Making History’ and producer of the 2012 documentary ‘Islam: The Untold Story’. Described as the leading writer on the ancient world, his most recent books ‘Athelstan: The Making of England’ and ‘Dynasty – the rise and fall of the House of Caesar’ were both highly critically acclaimed.
Copies of these and some of his other books will be available to buy at the talk.
Tickets cost £30 including drinks and canapés. All proceeds will go towards The ClementJames Centre.
