Community Development Worker (Young People’s Programmes)

The post holder will be involved in the delivery of The ClementJames Centre’s Young People’s provision. Our provision consists of running one-to-one and group sessions with young people, usually aged 7 to 16. We aim to support young people to develop academically, as well as with soft skills like confidence and resilience. We also work with families to help support positive outcomes for service users at risk of school exclusion or disengagement from education. This is through one-to-one work, and also in-school workshops.

You will also have an opportunity to take part in leading on, or supporting with, our client wellbeing activities. These activities support clients to increase their confidence and develop an understanding of actions which promote levels of wellbeing, e.g. reducing stress or anxiety. The programme includes creative arts, gardening and group sessions challenging isolation.
