Sadiya
IntoUniversity student Sadiya registered at the centre at the age of 14, unable to speak a word of English.  She quickly became a regular attendee at our after-school Academic Support sessions, which provide a learning space in which young people can receive support with their schoolwork.  We supported her through her GCSEs and A Levels and paired her with a university mentor. Sadiya joined us on a number of FOCUS activities including a City Learning FOCUS week which inspired her to successfully complete her Business degree at university.

We have also supported Sadiya’s two brothers and 3 sisters for many years on the IntoUniversity programme, and her mother through the Communicate Adult Learning programme.
